For auction is a nice 1981 380SL car is not perfect but is a lot of fun and is a great thing to drive. I have used it regularly since february but now my wife says I need to reduce my car collection a bit The car is red with blue leather interior which is a classic combo for this model. Car has been repaited but it has always been red. To be clear the car could benefit from a repaint - theres some chips and dull areas - Also there a slight dent on the passender side front quarter pannel otherwise body is very nice. with this damage the front turn signal lens is broken (easily fixed for $150) This car is mechanically sound and drives at highway speeds nicely -= shifts through the gears as it should and stops efficiently. Equipped with 16" rims (upgraded with OEM rims from a 500SL) and PERRELLI SPORT VELOCE tires. holds the road very well. Car has new carpets and I will install the new convertible top before sale. There is a hard top with the car but is in gunmetal finish - will come with the car if you want it also there is an additional dashboard in black that I will give with the car if you want it (this has nicer wood than what is in the car now. I also have addition blue headrests that will come with the car. The defects of the car are: -Needs new muffler - O2 sensor and catalytic converter good - has a small leak on the passenger side valve cover - doesnt affect performance and not a big deal but is emabarassing. This is a quick fix - Blower motor for air/heat inop - I have not investigated the cause since Intended to only drive this in the summer This car is not perfect and I do not warrant this car in any way. Sold as is where is. This car is 30 years old and has its share of minor issues. That said it will make a great and rewarding car to own and tinker with. Car will need to be picked up within one week of purchase. I'll deliver within one hour away. Car is currently registered in CT and has clear title. If not picked up in a week of purchase or arrangement made before close of auction buyer will incure a 30$ storage fee. a 500$ non-deductible deposit required within 24 hours of end of auction full payment within one week or before delivery.
