1978 CJ7 Golden Eagle. I bought this jeep back in 2000 and have spent since then trying to finish it. Only things not finished are as follows: Needs wiper motor and assembly Radio if so desired. AC if so desired. Golden Eagle Decals put back on Those are the only things that have not been replaced or gone through on this Jeep. New or rebuilt items (to keep as original as possible) are as follows: 304 and TH400 automatic tranny gone through. Motor was not bored just new gaskets and seals. Rebuilt original motocraft 2bl carb. Hurst Promatic 2 floor shifter. Does have the original tilt steering column that does work and has the parts for the shifter but you can not buy the linkage for this jeep and I did not want to have to try and make it. Dual Magnaflow exhaust. Still has the manifolds no headers. Painless wiring harness Everything electrical is new inlcuding Mallory distributor plugs and wires. 33x12.5x15 all terrain tires on 15x12 aluminum wheels. Tires have about 99% tread on them. New Best top seats and carpet. New weather stripping and seals all the way around. Seals are brand new and not quite broke in so doors and windows are VERY tight. Doors and top were just restored about a month ago and if you can't tell in pics the doors are a shade darker than the jeep. Jeep was painted about 5 years ago and doors appear darker than the body. The lift is a simple 2" body and 1.5" shackle lift that can be easily taken off is so desired to go back stock. Body and frame are as good as you will find. Paint still shines and looks amazing. There are 3 quarter size spots on the jeep that the paint is coming up on but is not really noticeable unless I tell you about it. All and all a beutiful 78 Golden Eagle that just needs 3 things to complete. I have spent well over $20,000 in the last 10 years buying parts and having this jeep put together. It was put together right and drives great. All guages work except fuel. OEM clock and tach even work! I am going to work out of state and just don't have the time or money to finish this Jeep.
