Vehicle Detail
Up for bid is a very clean and straight 68 Malibu Wagon. It has a 250 Horse 327 engine with a 2 speed power glide transmission. It's 98 % complete, minus a couple of interior trim pieces, and front chrome piece that goes above the grille.IT looks like a lion, but purrs like a kitten. The whole drive train runs great. After 42 years the engine does not leak, nor burn any oil.It glides down the hiway at 65 with no problems. She's a great everyday driver. It does have some minor rust issues,in particular around the corners of the back doors, and behind the left rear tire. They are starting to bubble a little. The paint job is 8 years old,so I suppose that is to be expected. The spare tire sump however is rusted through. It could be repaired with some skill. It comes with new carpet, and a new dash pad cover. The seats definately need reupholstered, and could use some new door panels in the front. The rears are perfect. It also needs a new headliner.I guess it all depends on how far you would want to go with this car.It is definately a good one to go with.It has a super sport front clip that is all new GM parts, with 396 badging. The floor pans and rockers are very solid.Nothing needed there for a while. The tires are just like new. They are all 255-60-15's with white letters, but they all do not match. The crager super sports are starting to show their age.The plan was to find, and drop in a 396,and really have some fun.But of course the economy got in the way.Good luck, and ask any questions you would like. Please only bid to win.A winning bid is considered a contract to buy.Thank you. P.S. I am reslisting this car, because there is someone in Idaho called hoppys hotrods that was the original winning bidder. They are a piece of sh*t.They bid,and then they dont contact nor buy.If you have a vehicle you are selling, and they place a bid.Cancel their bid.Ebay is unwilling to do anything about people like them. Please only bid to win.People like them, and even ebay themselves give this website a bad name.ThanxOn Sep-24-10 at 09:58:51 PDT, seller added the following information: Hello again.I have removed the reserve on this car.The high bidder will be the winning bidder.Thank you.On Sep-26-10 at 14:40:24 PDT, seller added the following information: Hello.I just received negative feedback from a guy who expected a frame off resto for a car I sold for 4500.00.He also tried to extort money for feedback, which is against ebay rules. But of course ebay wont do anything about that either. That car as well as the one on ebay now is being described perfectly.Thanx.
