2002 Rodeo in need of some mechanical attention Originally the engine started missing and had reduced power, but wasn't that bad, so we lived with it until one day I had it in for an oil change, the mechanic said I had a sticking valve, #3 cylinder, and it could be as much as $2000 to fix it, so we continued to live with it, not having $2000 and not wanting to put that much into a truck that, although had been a good truck for us, had 150k on it. The reduced power meant we couldn't pull our boat, but other than that it would get us around, then it starting going into 'reduced power' mode. The words, reduced power, actually showed up on the console, and I've never seen that before. It was diagnosed as having a bad thottle body controller, or the receiving unit to the sending unit at the gas peddle. It starts fine, but won't go over 20mph because of this problem. I checked a new one and they're $700, but have seen some for $150 or less on ebay. We parked it. It will need the above fixed or another engine put in, depending on your circumstances. I'd say somebody with some time and a little money could put this back to running shape and the outside, as well as the inside, and transmission are in really good shape. Comes with a good hitch as you can see in the pics. You're more than welcome to come by and check it out, and drive in the driveway (we've taken insurance off) before bidding, and I'd suggest doing that. Clear title of course. It really was a good truck for us, and we enjoyed driving it.
