Vehicle Detail
2003 Honda VTX1800c with 11,510 miles. This bike was laid over on it's left side and sustained some light cosmetic damage. The bike runs and rides well. It has fixable fuel tank damage on the left side and a broken left rear turn signal. and a couple light scrapes as shown in photos. It has a rebuildable PA salvage certificate as a result. You will need to have an enhanced inspection done after you buy it in order to register it. This generally costs around $65. I expect to hear from the winning bidder within 24 hours and I need a $200 PayPal deposit with in 48 hours. I will store the bike for free for 10 days after that I will charge $5 per day. If you have concerns about the low feedback. This is a secondary account I just opened for selling motorcycles and related items. My primary account is bruckermotors (89) I answer a lot of the same questions when I sell a salvage motorcycle. I have compiled a short FAQ list below.Q. This bike has so little damage, do you know why it was totaled ?A. No, I'm not an insurance adjuster. Many salvage bikes I have sold have little to no damage. Q. How do I get the bike registered and titled.A. In Pennsylvania you need to have an enhanced inspection done, and complete an MV-426. As soon as the inspection is done the bike is legal to ride. Send in the MV-426 and the Salvage Certificate and you will get a new title in the mail in about 4 days. It's easy. There is a list of PA enhanced inspection stations on this site. www.dmv.state.pa.usQ. What are the rules for salvage bikes in other states ?A. I don't know but here is a link you can check out http://www.trevoseauto.com/titles.htmQ. How do I pay for this bike ? A. I accept cash or a bank wire transfer.Q. Can I test ride this bike before I purchase it ?A. No, These bikes are not legal to be ridden until they are inspected. I am a motorcycle inspection mechanic with a repair/towing tag and I test ride them when possible.Q. Can you do the enhanced inspection for me ?A. No, I do not have my enhanced inspection certification yet. I can however direct you to a local shop who can do it for $65. If you want more info on this bike, or would like to set up and appointment to see it you can call me at 717-507-2365 (Jack)
