This auction is for our 1977 Trans AM, the car was found sitting for over 6 years and has been started to restore and replace several items with NEW or aftermarket. The car is painted like a 1972 455 HO, with the correct decals for that year. It is White with Blue stripe and black interior. The paint is as shinny as show room and is great for driver or local shows but does have very small flaws. This car will stop traffic where ever it goes. The interior is in great shape with only minor flaws in the seats on a couple seams, There is one small tear on passengers seat at the seatbelt holder (see photos) the headliner is in near perfect shape. We have replaced the speedometer and tachometer with older models 8K and 160 MPH, the originals will come with the car. We have installed original AM/FM red dot radio, factory 8Track player as well as AM/FM/CD/IPOD in the glove compartment. There are cuttouts on the center console where speakers were but will not fit with 8Track installed. There are Rockfor Fosgate Punch speakers in the rear deck keeping a clean look with nice sound. The car does have electric windows that work but are slow. There is a tilt wheel and power brakes. The car came with ALL the A/C components which have been removed for service and paint but will come with the car. It appears that the engine is from a 71 with #66 heads, 325HP. It runs nice with a nice lope and rumble. The radiator was replaced with a large aluminum one and runs cool. The trans is a Turbo 400 and shifts fine. The exahust has stock headers going into 3 in pipe with flowmasters. All shocks have been replaced this year as well as New tires. There is NO rust under the car and the trunk, seat pans and sub frames are solid. The car did have a small area behind the Rt rear wheel that was rusted and was replaced with sheet metal patch. This car runs straight with your hands off the wheel and stops straight as well and does not pull. We drive this car weekly and go to several local shows and would not hesitate to drive it to CA or Vegas. (just hot, no A/C)Under the hood has had a few upgrades with a new Chrome alt. and all new battery cables, New radiator overflow tank, Battery, brackets and Air Cleaner base powder coated.
