Vehicle Detail
So you have a problem with your ice cream melting on the way home from the Grocery store. This little Nova will solve that problem! Built up from a little ole' lady sedan this Nova was put together the right way. Starting with a bone stock '65 two door post sedan, a 350 4-bolt main small block was built and dropped into the engine bay. Wilky's Performance in Mesa Arizona did the machine work and assembly. 2.02 stainless steel intakes with 1.5 stainless steel exhaust help the heads breathe. An Isky Mega cam makes the valves rock & roll. part no. 201281 280-Mega hydraulic cam, .323 cam lift, 0485 valve lift, with a 108 degree lobe center. Poly-locks keep the lifters adjusted. Tapped for screw-in studs and guide plates. Crane Cam stud mounted aluminum roller rocker arms. Noise compliments of a deep cut (noisy) gear drive. Holley Double Pumper Carburetor, HEI w/ Taylor custom spark plug wires, Headers, Custom pipes with Flowmaster mufflers, list goes on... bottom line, This motor thumps... Big Time! Click on Youtube link below to see and hear Nova running! Also I will be adding one of me driving! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=teb1-2Au4hc Chris Altons Chassisworks 8 point full cage, front to rear with sub-frame connectors. Lakewood Traction suspension bars. Stock Nova buckets seats have been completely hand rebuilt and upholstered in satin jet black. Door panels have been fabricated out of aluminum flat stock (holes were cut for speakers but I removed them so holes need covers made for them, see photos). B&M "ratchet" shifter clicks the 350 turbo tranny with a B&M shift kit. 2500 stall speed converter. No rear seat, this car was built as a street driven gasser, so all the frills are removed. No under dash air, no wiper motor, No power brakes, no power steering... was building as an "old school" "down and dirty" gasser just like in the 60's. ProTach Tachometer mounted on the dash, add-on gauge package under the dash. Quick-release steering wheel. Glass all the way around, door and rear quarter glass, they all roll up and down. New front windshield. Rear mounted kill switch. Original Nova radio delete. The floor pans need to be replaced, it is patched with some metal panels right now, but really needs to be done the correct way with real aftermarket floor pans. Rest of car is solid and has the potential to be super straight, solid, and amazing... just not the look we were after... we wanted that "mean gasser" look. Most of the "car" items were done in 2002-03... ie, new 4 row radiator, gas tank sending unit, gas filler neck to tank, complete suspension overhaul, ball joints, control arm bushings, tie rod ends, bushings, front glass & seal, tail light lens & gasket, trunk weather-strip, door weather-strip, 1/4 window seals, channel felts, door seals... Most of the "motor, trans, exhaust" was work was done 2003-06... U-joints, slip yoke, U-bolts, Lakewood Traction bars, Chris Altons Chassisworks 8 point roll bar 1-3/4 tube, main hoop, subframe connectors, Midas 2-1/2" stainless tubing exhaust custom made with flowmaster mufflers, and high performance built engine as stated above. Glass front fenders along with a fiberglass front bumper (bumper not installed). Stock brand new rear bumper. Body is nice other than a few dings and dent in the right rear quarter panel as seen in the photos. Body is in Gray primer. Ineterior is done in black paint. Vechile is not perfect... wasnt built to be, but has the all the right stuff to be beautiful if thats what you're going for! Front rims are 15 x 4 Cragar SS, perfect chrome. 5.60-15 Pro Trac front runners with less the 50 miles on them are mounted on the front Cragars. The rear Cragars are matching 15 x 7 SS with G70-15 Firestone red-line tires! In tires and rims alone there is over 2 grand! Also comes with Carpet kit, Headliner kit, Stock metal hood, and misc interior trim parts. Was being built as a down and dirty gasser but wife wants a boat... My next step was to put a front clip under the car with a straight tube axle, for the ole' nose bleed effect (see last photo for ideas, not this car). Finish it off or drive it as is! Actually vechile miles are unknown, the 84,000 are C title miles. Miles on motor since built is less then 5,000. This is simply a GREAT start to an amazing ride... she's not mint and there are many things still need to be done and many areas you could still add your own touch to but "GASSERS" are where its at! Easily double your money by finishing what I didn't! Can take other photos if needed. Any Questions or if you’d like to view the vehicle please feel free to email me.
