Selling my 1968 Pontiac Firebird Convertible project car.This car needs a complete restoration that i was hoping to do over the winter but time and money constraints are putting a damper on those plans so instead of letting it rot away i decided to list it.the car has the matching numbers 350 2bbl automatic in it.The odometer is showing less than 100,000 miles which i am told from the previous owner is original but i cannot verify that.it spent just over 20 years stored in a barn,unfortunately not before the new england winters took thier toll on the body. the paint is original from what i can tell as well as the original pontiac blue paint that is on the heads/intake and block.Engine block #9790079. The interior was the custom option for this year.this car will need new floorboards front and rear as well as rear quarter work or replacement.you could get away with using patch panels but i was going to do full quarters.The trunk floor probably could be saved but this is an inexpensive part that i was going to replace as well.I do not know if the motor will run or not.the previous owner pulled the heads to free it up from setting and it turns over fine.cylinder walls look good but again this was something i was going to have freshened up regardless of whether it would run or not. It has a hood from a 400 model on it and the grill inserts which i like the looks of better than the plain hood anyways.The windshield is cracked but i have a replacement on that goes with the car,it is not new but it is not cracked. please ask all questions before bidding as all sales are final.if you are local to me you are welcome to come by and look at it before bidding.
