Vehicle Detail
Unique This is a great car. Drives great! NO Rust Ever, It's FIberglass. As far as I know there are only 2 cars like this one in the USA. Formally known as the Challenger Triple C. The Challenger is a conversion of a Jaguar XJ6 with the final product being very similar to the 1966 Jaguar Series 1 E Type Roadster. Unique in that she is Fiberglass. The body and chassis are 100% rust free. Totally equipped with Jaguar running gear making any necessary repairs a snap as the availability of parts and service are widely available. Virtually maintenance free, this high performance sports car never goes unnoticed. Once considered the most beautiful car ever produced, it’s a rare occasion to take this car out for a stretch and not receive numerous complements. The entire fiberglass body is as smooth as a babies bottom and without a single ripple to be found anyplace on the entire car. The original paint job is remarkably robust and brilliantly holds its shine. There are 2 or 3 small scratches in this original paint job that could easily be touched up/repaired. The original owner and builder of the car Arthur Tweedale (Deceased) formally owner of Overseas Imports located in Falls Church Virginia purchased/imported and assembled only 2 of these unique automobiles in the 1990’s. A gentleman who resides in Florida currently owns one and I have been the only other proud owner of the second car since its assembly acquiring the automobile 11-16-01. It saddens me to part with this beautiful automobile but after almost 10 years of total enjoyment I’m ready to part with the car simply because the car needs to be driven more than I am driving it as I live in Alexandria Virginia just outside of the congested metro Washington DC area. Garage kept and in excellent running condition, exhilarating is the most appropriate word I can think of to describe how it feels driving this car. She has always run great and has required very little mechanical attention. Equipped with overdrive, this car flies down the road and handles superbly. The only notable issue being the rag top is old, is still in good condition but is the original top purchased with the car in 2001. Also, while all interior vinyl is in good condition, the seats require refurbishment. The rebuilt Jaguar engine installed in the car during assembly has merely 10,000 miles logged on the odometer. The 6 cylinder engine comes with SU carburetors. The front bumper has a few rust spots and has been removed. I was going to send it out to have it refurbished but have yet to do so. It remains in storage in good condition. Personally I think it looks really wicked without the front bumper. Shown are pictures and a copy of the original brochure to include the history of the Challenger Triple C. This is a rare car. Matt G…. Alexandria, Va 22314 703-585-7859
