Vehicle Detail

This car was purchased new by my father in law in Alabama. He transferred to my mother in law. When she passed away in 2002 we inherited the car. We've been very good at keeping the car in excellent running condition. We have had the car serviced at only 2 places, the local Lexus dealership and more recently AAA Auto Care. We're happy to supply the complete maintenance records on the car since we took ownership in 2002. We just had a complete service on the car this month and had them fix anything they felt needed changing. The power steering gear complete rack was replaced during this service. The tires are 3 years old. The timing belts were changed at 100,000 miles. We've been very pleased with the car. Our reason for selling is this is a third car for my wife and me. We have two SUVs that we use a lot more for travel and carting our kids around. That is why the mileage is so low for a car of this age. There are two cosmetic issues that never concerned us so we never spent money on them. I added photos of both. The first is the radio LED pad doesn't show the complete lettering (Hieroglyphics). It was like this when we inherited the car in 2002. We decided to let the buyer decide if they want to change out. The radio is a 6 CD changer and everything works fine. The second is an indentation on the left rear. I accidently backed into the car with my SUV in 2004 and broke the left tailight. I took it to the Lexus dealership and they replaced the light. When I brought it home noticed it affected the body slightly as the trunk is not cleanly flush. The trunk doesn't leak and it is hard to notice except when looking at it close. Again, it wasn't an issue for us. We're starting the bidding at $3600 with no reserve. We went on Kelley's Blue Book. This car with the current mileage lists Excellent at $4665, Good at $4240 and Fair at $3540. I would say the engine is excellent the interior is good to excellent. Because of the two cosmetic issues we're using the fair value.
