But as much as I would love to hold on to this little beauty, I have been driving it less and less and the money I have invested in her is needed for my wife’s very expensive dental work that naturally is not covered by insurance. Anyway, so much for my sob story. But it does mean that I am now offering a Bianchina that is almost impossible to find anywhere in this excellent mechanical and cosmetic condition. From original brochure: · 1967 Autobianchi Bianchina Berlina. This was the luxury version of the Fiat 500. · Chassis # 095879 (see picture) · Odometer reads 10,385 km. I take it to mean 110,385 km (66k mi) since the counter only has five digits. · Prior owner in Long Island New York had registered this car as a daily driver (see picture of NY inspection sticker). I understand he was a mechanic and took excellent care of this baby. I believe he was the one who gave it a high quality professional repaint. · Extremely reliable mechanically. I have started it in the dead of a NJ winter. · This two cylinder is surprisingly peppy, I have surprised a few gawkers off the line when the light turned green. When I had guests over I would take them in the car around town. That’s five people in the car and it still moved about smartly! · Shifts cleanly, breaks well, steering is tight. · Tires are good. · All lights, blinkers, instruments, switches, etc., work perfectly. The window washer/sprayer works too, once I figured out where the supply was coming from and that the button is not an actuator but a little pump. · Horn beeps! · Original replacement tire, jack, wrench kit and caution triangle all there (see picture). · Paint is excellent. Only one noticeable trouble spot located on the hood. Please see pictures. · Glass is perfect. · Chrome: Interior/exterior trim good. Rear bumper is good. Front bumper needs re-chrome. Headlight chrome bezels need re-chrome. · Interior: Excellent condition. Paint still gleams. Dash, dials, switches, indicators, etc. all excellent. · Upholstery excellent except for small clean triangular tear in drivers back (see picture) · I have a new grill (original has yellowed) that I will include. · Car is in NJ with clear title. I would love to have held on to this wonderful baby Bianchina and to have passed it down to my kids. It’s in such good condition in every way, that for a couple of bucks I was going to totally mint it out, knowing it was deserving of the effort. That was my intention, but plans change and now someone is going to get this wonderful baby Bianchina and will love it as much as I do. You are welcome to inspect the car during the auction. This is an antique vehicle and sold as is. On Sep-17-10 at 05:26:52 PDT, seller added the following information: A bidder noted that the inspection sticker is for 2003. That is from the prior NY owner who registered it as a regular car. I included the picture to show that this 1967 vehicle was reliable enough to pass a regular NY inspection and to be used as a daily driver. That fact was one of the reasons I myself had bought the car originally, and indeed the car has proved to be mechanically reliable. I registered it as a historical car (note QQ license plates in pictures), which qualified it for $100/yr insurance and exemption from inspection.
