Vehicle Detail

1930 Ford Model A Town Sedan n Classic Autoworx is proud to offer this beautiful 1930 Ford Model A Town Sedan for your consideration . It’s difficult to find cars such as these that are not being turned into rat rods, hot rods or somewhere in between. This is a fine example of what a 1930 Model A was. This car has been recently painted and has had the interior restored. The car runs and drives well and has had 1935 16” Touring Wheels added for looks and driveability. This Model A has spent many years located in Los Angeles, Ca. Car appears to be rust free. PLEASE TAKE A MOMENT TO VIEW THE LARGE PHOTOS THAT HAVE BEEN LISTED HERE FOR YOUR CONVIENENCE, THEY CLEARLY SHOW THE VEHICLE AND IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE CONTACT US BEFORE BIDDING. The Model A in itself is an iconic vehicle. Classics such as these are a great investment, as well as a lot of fun to enjoy. Having owned numerous cars over the years, of multiple makes, body styles, years and options, we can think of no more recognizable or important automobile to early motoring than this, the Model A. Like all of the cars we sell, this one is priced below market value, so get it before the market increases further, every year these cars continue to go up and when the fad cars such as restomods, and rat rods are no longer popular, the original cars such as this will be the sought after cars for collectors. BODY/ PAINT: The paint on the car is new, but not what I would consider “show quality”. Its is very glossy and looks beautiful however there are subtle flaws which the owner would find. The car looks great even up close, but because we do know there are a few flaws, we must disclose them. The black paint was professionally applied as was all prep work done. The car looks as good or better than it did brand new (keeping in mind quality control back in those days aren’t what it is today). Many people mistake it for a show car, it’s very nice and it gets a lot of looks and attention. INTERIOR: The interior has been mostly restored. The seat covers were replaced and in good shape. The carpet is new and in good condition, as are the door panels and headliner which are in good shape as well. The original instrumentation and speedometer work. The car still has it’s original steering wheel. The turn signal indicator switch has been added and is functional. It looks very nice and the wood flooring is in grate shape. DRIVELINE: The engine is an original L- Head, 201ci (3.3L) 4 cylinder engine, runs good with a rebuilt carburetor. Transmission is the original 3 speed manual (could use a clutch adjustment), The car has been upgraded to a 12v system with alternator. Clean under the hood. . Brakes, Steering, Suspension and Underbody The car has stock style suspension, most of the bushings look to have been replaced during a restoration at some point. The brakes are drum all the way around but seems to stop well and straight. Steering is acceptable given the vehicles age without excessive slop. The underbody of the car appears clean and dry. Everything looks straight. Items worth noting: The car does have fiberglass fenders, finished well and without inspection, nobody would know. The car also needs shocks, the throttle return spring appears to be weak, the e-brake needs adjustment and the wiper motor does not work. These are just a few observations we’ve made and are noting. This car is being sold on consignment and the information provided within this auction are as we received it. We have no knowledge of any prior events before we took possession of the car and cannot substantiate any claims. We will not be held responsible for any misinformation. Let me state this as a disclaimer: This is not a rotisserie built, nut and bolt, frame off or body off restored show car. This car is mostly original as is, with a freshening up to look and run well. There are elements of the car that have not been restored. Any ideas that this car will be unloaded and be immaculate and flawless, you’ll likely be disappointed. We encourage you to come view the car in person BEFORE BIDDING. If you choose not to, then you are acknowledging that you accept the car in it’s current state with your winning bid/ Buy It Now purchase. The vehicle is sold AS IS. It is used and is not fully restored. Yes, its fun and could happily be enjoyed as is.
