Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my 1974 Dodge Charger SE with a factory sunroof. This is a legitimate M52 sunroof car, as well as a real E5 bright red car. Other options that came with this car are P/S, P/D/B, P/W, AM/FM Stereo, Rally Dash, Cruise Control, Automatic Transmission, Light Group. The 318 motor is the original , numbers matching motor and runs strong. It starts right up, doesn't run rich, overheat, smoke or leak any fluids. The lifters/rockers are a bit noisy for about 10 seconds, but then quiet down nicely. The transmission has been rebuilt and shifts perfectly, it is not the original one that came with the car. The crank handle manual sunroof operates smoothly except for the last 1/2 turn when closing. I push up on the back to help lift it into the closed position. This helps reduce wear on the cables and sunroof gear. Because of this, the fabric covered finish panel( which hides the sunroof panel) is not installed. The rest of the headliner is in good shape but is starting to show a little bit of wear. The rest of the interior is very nice, there are no rips or cracks in the seats, rugs or dash. The A/C blows cold( it was converted to freeze 12) and most everything else( haven't tried the cruise control) works like it should (except the clock). Although I cannot verify the mileage, this was an unmolested 2 owner car, so I believe the mileage to be close to what the odometer reads. Most every thing that is a wear item has been replaced or rebuilt: ie water pump alternator radiator carburetor exhaust ect. That's all new brake hose's, master cylinder ,calipers, wheel cylinders , pads ect. The front end is tight and the car tracks down the road straight and without any vibration. The frame and floors are solid. That's even the original trunk pan. There is a minimal amount of filler on this car. The bumpers are nice as is most of the stainless trim. Some of the other chrome pieces, such as the door handles, while shiny have some pitting on them. The paint has nice shine to it, but there are some minor flaws and imperfections in it. I'd call it driver quality, better than 20 footer, but not perfect. Still for a 36 year old car, it's a very nice cruise night car, a turn key car. Just don't go to the nat's and expect a first place trophy as this is not a 100 pt trailer poodle. This is a no reserve auction, so bid to win. A $500 deposit is required within 48 hours, and I expect payment in CASH within 10 days of the auction. NO TRADES. Please do not bid if you cannot comply with these terms. Need money for kid's tuition, so please don't waste mine and your time, if you are not serious. Thank you for looking, and no that is not my house in the first picture and no the shih tzu on the front seat does not go with the car.
