Vehicle Detail
1963 Chevy C10 Short Wide Box Custom cab big back window with 396 big block. I acquired this truck as a personal project, in trade for paint work on a chevelle, and its been sitting at my shop for a year now, and I just haven't had time to work on it, so it may as well go. The only thing I've done to this pickup is put a new fuel pump on it, rinse the dirt off, vacuum it, and drive it down the road a couple times. Oregon State DMV lost title paperwork is signed & completed to acquire new title. Body of truck is extremely straight. Only minor dings, has a few rusty spots, but better than most trucks of its age. Rust in the following areas: lower rear fender sections, lower front door skins, lower rear driver door skin, right hinge brace area of hood, kick panel to floor pan joints. Rear window is broken(replacement factory glass included with sale). Rock ship/star in windshield. Engine: 396 big block, standard bore, MSD 6AL Ignition box, coil, & Pro-Billet distributor, runs very strong but has valvetrain noise, before I got the truck the cam went flat from sitting too much, Engine was pulled out, stripped down to a short block, oil galleys flushed, a couple of rod/main caps were pulled to inspect and found ok, heads hot tanked, cam & lifters replaced, a couple pushrods & rocker arms replaced. I was told of the engine details by the engine shop that did the work NOT the owner. The shop also said that the rocker arms & nuts all need to be replaced with new. I don't know for sure with out tearing down to inspect, but I would say that the majority or maybe all of the noise is coming from the rocker arms/nuts/pushrods. There may be more, but it's hard to say with the rocker arm clatter. Has good quality headers and 2 1/2 exhaust with glass packs running out the back, great aggressive tone. Trans was originally 3 on the tree, but is now a TH350 with B&M floor ratchet shifter, and it leaks at the front seal, seems engage and shift well when fluid level is full. Grille is 64-66 pickup style, Rear end is factory 12 bolt in good condition, does not seem to be a posi. Manual drum brakes, manual steering, has captains chairs out of something newer. Has 20" wheels with 285/50 tires, right rear leaks even after being taken to the tire shop twice. For additional $300 I have a set of 15x10 steel rally wheels without beauty rings & 2 Cooper Cobra 295/50R15 tires that will go with it. The wheels are used but in great shape, the tires I bought as new take-offs that were too wide for a mustang so one of them has a couple cuts in the outer skin. Buyer is responsible for shipping/transport $500 NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT DUE WITHIN 24 HOURS, the final balance can be paid in cash or certified check. I reserve the right to end auction early as Vehicle is for sale locally as well
