1968 Mercury Cougar, 2dr hdtp, all original - showroom quality. Gold with black pinstripe, gold interior, black vinyl top. 302 V8 w/automatic transmission. 2,117 original documented miles. Family heirloom - 2nd owner. Pristine, original car for the discriminating collector. This car has never been shown or displayed in national or regional competition. On Sep-12-10 at 16:48:45 PDT, seller added the following information: I thank all of you who have looked at and bid on this fabulous car. Its not often that a vehicle in this unique, original condition comes up for sale. I just uploaded a couple of pictures that may be of further interest. One shows the dashboard with the odometer reading of 2117.1 miles. One is a closeup of the spare tire that shows the original tire markings on the tread and the blueing on the whitewall. One shows the notice to the dealer to remove the vehicle tie down plates. This notice is still attached to the rear license plate holder. One shows the cross-member under the radiator and demonstrates a part number still written on it. The car has reached its reserve and will sell to the highest bidder tomorrow, Sept. 13.
