Vehicle Detail
1973 oldsmobile 98 Hearse this is a seville model built by the Cotner Bevington Corporation in Blytheville Arkansas. This car was used for the funeral of Waldo Cotner one of the founders of the company in 2001 I have photos of the car in use at the funeral. The company closed its doors in 1975. The seville eas their short wheel base model and not a cut and stretched car. The car has only 55,000 original miles although the odometer shows 16,000 miles due to the fact I had to put a new spedometer in the car as the needle on the old one broke. This is a very hard part to find. Currently the car has been sitting in my garage for 2 yrs as I run a funeral home and have very little time to finish the work on it. It has a 455 olds rocket engine in it that need a new head gasket the top half of the engine is out the car and just needs gaskets installed and the engine put back together. I have all the parts and nuts and bolts. The car has a relativley new exhaust tires are good and has a new radiator, waterpump, plugs and wires. The car has a black crinkle painted top and has never had a vinyl roof therefore no rust. the only rust on the car is two spots one towards the bottom of the second (passenger) set of doors where the paint is bubble and started to rust and the other is on the other passenger door on the drivers side in the same spot. This is typical of a car this age. The transmission is perfect and shifts very smooth. an the interior is in perfect condition with no rips or tears anywhere in the seats dash or headliner. manual widows, power seats. There is a red and white federal beacon ray light on the top (works) and a federal electronic siren under the dash (Works and is very loud) this is not a combo car but was used as a backup by a Funeral Home for transport. There is also a cot hook in the back of the car. I will include a period stretcher and oxygen tanks and IV stand at no additional charge. I have alot of other funeral home memorabilia also for sal at an additional cost if interested including no parking signs, funeral home signs, and an old embalming table . I can take more pics and e-mail to you upon request the glass and chrome are all good. the car is very dusty, but will shine up nice and i have set a very low reserve. The car needs to go as I need the space. The pics you will see are of the car in a local cemetery when it was running and just waxed this was just before it was parked. I will be happy to answer any and all questions you may have. I will only accept cash, cashiers checks, or money orders. Buyer is responsible for pickup or shipping I will help Load. this car needs to be trailered. Thanks for looking. this is a NO Reserve Auction. On Sep-09-10 at 07:29:29 PDT, seller added the following information:Now accepting paypal
