1937 BMW R-Series

I had acquired and professionally restored this nice piece of German history from overseas from the Nederland’s approximately 10 years ago. This bike runs, shifts and rides well. Engine compression is good and does not blow smoke. The transmission was rebuilt by Perry BMW Cycles, Inc. in New York. Engine numbers match bike numbers: 302652. The engine serial number confirms that the bike is German Nazi by the war symbol that is stamped into the engine block. (please see pictures). The only cosmetic alteration that was made was the restoration of the original copper BMW logos on the bikes frame and sidecar (originally painted desert brown the same color as the bike). I have the original papers from the Netherlands and New York State Department of Motor Vehicle papers for proof of ownership. The bike is currently on the road and insured. Also provided from a highly respected local car and motorcycle apprasial company (Buffalo Pierce Arrow Car Museum) is an appraisal for $22,000 (no where near my reserve) for insurance and or resale purposes.
