I bought this car a few months ago from a close friend. He sold it to me because his daughter ran a light and was hit on the passanger side front fender..not a big deal, drove away.. but his insurance company gave him $5500! They didnt total it and nor should they..it was fine, a fender bender that cost less than $1800 to repair.. no frame damage and it did not even need a core support . It didnt even make the auto check report and an unscroupulous person could easily advertise this without any disclosure and you probably would never know..after all it is 14 years old.. but it is a really nice car. Ive brought it back to original beauty with a complete paint job. As you can tell , the interior is in excellent condition. About a year ago , the entire headliner was replaced. No tears or rips..just a real nice interior with no rattles or leaks. I've had my BMW service center go thru it and he gave it a thumbs up with some minor things to attend to such as fluids and filters but the front steering components, brakes, etc are all in good shape. I do need an ABS control module and will have that done. Im still trying to find one thats not too expensive. This car drives great! It drives straight! It runs perfectly. A/C is ice cold. The radio was replaced with an Alpine with a removable face plate. One speaker in the rear is slightly disdorted if you turn up loud music but otherwise fine.. I listen to AM talk anyway and its fine . I figure if your gonna crank it up your probably have some personal pref in speakers, etc.. I love driving this car, fun, tight and easy on the pocketbook. That is to say nothing is expensive to replace and it gets incredible gas mileage. Im in no hurry to sell it as its my everyday driver. There are a few things I still need and will do before I sell it such as the wheel decals that need to be replaced.
