1985 Ferrari 308 GTS Quattrovalvole LHD European Specification GENERAL 61,700 miles (speedometer conversion to mph completed) Black exterior with sand/black interior JUST SERVICED! VIN # is ZFFLA13B000055209 (all numbers matching) I am reluctantly offering my Ferrari for sale. I purchased this vehicle a few years ago with the idea of full restoration, which was prior to having two little ones. This is a fifth car for my wife and I and we need to start downsizing. During my ownership, I worked on remedying the factory problems and added some performance while keeping the classic beauty and rawness that makes the 308 such a great Ferrari. She starts everytime and revs strong all the way to redline. The new suspension is tight and handles beautifully. Here is what I have done to the car (completely documented including pictures): DRIVETRAIN Timing belt service just completed (factory belts) including sealed SKF tensioner bearings from Hill Engineering Coolant service including water pump rebuild and belt Replaced all accessory belts Oil service and filter replacement including new pan gasket Transmission service including new pan gasket Spark plug replacement with NGK iridium plugs (wires are in great condition) New gear reduction starter and solenoid (I love this starter!) New fuel pump, accumulator, fuel filter, and hoses New Interstate battery, prewired for CTEK battery tender Refinishing of Ferrari intake box (factory Ferrari red crinkle finish) Polished aluminum intake pipe (factory “dryer hose” tube in good shape and is included) Superformance stainless steel exhaust Recent clutch adjustment (pedal/cable and pressure plate) CHASSIS Full A-Arm bushing replacement (16 bushings, 4 per corner) with new Energy Suspension poly bushing kits New QA-1/Eibach double adjustable coilover suspension including new mount bushings and thrust bearing kits - the suspension is balanced mid damping and slightly lower than stock so you could keep it there forever or adjust it to your liking. New factory sway bar bushing kits including link bushings/silent blocks Steering box oil service including new mount bushings and end links/ball joints Factory 16 inch wheels professionally refinished INTERIOR Power window regulator service (clean, regrease, adjust) New power window motors, switches, and accelerators kits New “Birdman” fuse blocks replaced factory problem blocks New Alpine head unit with CD and ipod interface and Kicker speakers Complete rear decklid and headliner fabric and rear 3 window seal restoration Custom black transparent hard top Earlier 308 brushed aluminum gauge face plate (all gauges in working order) Matching aluminum shift knob, pedal kit, dead pedal, door lock pins Custom “Ferrari” aluminum door sill plates Matching custom black vinyl seat covers REMAINING WORK NEEDED Oil leak from low in the engine (I believe this is coming through around the pan studs/nuts) Steering oil leak (box is great w/ no play but I should have replaced oil with grease to resolve this issue) AC does not blow cold (have not tried to charge) Body/paint isn’t perfect dings/scratches evident up close Factory seats need new leather (cracked) This is a rare and solid example of the final year the 308 was built. All service records, owners manual, service manual, jack kit (factory), and tool kit (aftermarket) are included with sale. I also have the title in hand so it is available at the time of transaction.
