Vehicle Detail
Yes this is being relisted considering the person that was suppose to purchase the car decided to never contacted me. So if you are willing to bid just to be bidding, can you please pass over this one. Up for auction is a 1994 Ford Probe GT with 206891k miles. It has a 2.5 Liter V6 with a 5-speed manual transmission. When it was last driven it was averaging 24 miles per gallon. It was a great commuter car, during these hard economic times. The heat and the air conditioner both work. The transmission shifts into gear smoothly. The headlights do flip up and down, wipers, power windows and locks, aftermarket radio with aux input for your IPod or other MP3 players, sunroof with no leaks, and bolster on the seats. Features and Options Adjustable Steering Wheel Air conditioning 5-Speed Manual Transmission Center Arm Rest Cloth Upholstery Coolant Temperature Gauge Cruise control Driver airbag Dual Overhead Cams Electronic Fuel Injection Floor Mats Passenger airbag Power Mirrors Power Steering Power locks Power windows Rear Defroster Tachometer Tinted Glass on rear windows and back windshield Trip Odometer The interior is in good shape with no signs of tears, rips, or cracks. Now about the things needed. It currently leaks oil (possibly needs valve cover gasket) and burns oil. It needs tires (all four, but they hold air) and lateral sway bar link (the metal linkage between the rear tires). The car has an expired inspection sticker and registration. The check engine light comes on periodically, but does not stay on long enough to get a code. The washer fluid light currently stays illuminated, yet there is fluid in both tanks and both windshield washer fluid pumps work. The car may need a battery, it has not been driven over six months. There may be other issues, but I am not a mechanic, please take this into consideration, I have explained this vehicle to the best of my ability. The car currently runs and drives, despite all of these issues. The door locks are hard to turn sometimes when using the key. This car does not have keyless entry. The car is cosmetically displeasing, but the car is 16 years old, it is bound to have cosmetic issues. The car is being sold as complete, no parting or separating. Remember the car is sold “AS IS” with no warranty expressed or written. Please review the listing and the car before making a bid. The car is currently located at Prymetime Mobile Mechanics LLC in Kunkletown, PA. The closes google maps address is Intersection of Route 209 and Burger Hollow Rd, Kunkletown, PA. The shop is on Route 209. If you would like to schedule a test drive or a walk around please contact Corey at 732.693.6624. Keep in mind with the expired registration, the car can only be driven in the shop’s parking lot. There is a reserved price of $400 on the car, considering I can sell it to my local junk yard for the same amount. I rather someone can use the car, than the junkyard selling it for parts or using it for scrap metal. A non refundable deposit of $100 is due within three days after the close of the auction, and the balance is needed within seven days after the close of the auction. If you do not have paypal, please contact me before bidding. Please do not bid if you cannot pay the balance within seven days after the close of the auction. Considering this is a relisting, if you do not pay or contact me after the close of the auction, you will be reported as a non-paying bidder. I will only accept Paypal for the deposit and the balance needs to be paid with a Certified Bank Check (cashier’s check), Cash, or Postal Money Order. Please I cannot take personal checks. Proper ID is required at the time of pick up. The name of the highest bidder must match the person signing the title. You are responsible for transport of vehicle no deliveries will be provided. The car needs to be picked up 10 days after the close of the auction, or it wil be considered abandoned. The owner of Prymetime Mobile Mechanics LLC is selling a Ford Probe 2.5 Engine with 150k miles for $500, if you are considering this option, please contact me at the above number. Any questions, comments, or concerns please contact me at the above number or email me. Happy Bidding. Don’t wait until the last minute to bid, you may miss out. Couple of questions that were asked during the first listing; here are the questions and the answers. Question: Could this car make the trip to Chicago if you check oil often .does the engine knock or tic very loud? Answer: I would not take the trip to Chicago with this car. That is over 700 miles. There is a slight tick, but I am not sure if that is from the car needing oil or something else. Question: If the car runs and we setup pickup for title and registration and plates at a local tag place will the car be drivable then to make the trip back to Levittown, PA? Answer: I would say it is capable of making it to Levittown, PA. I drove it from Plainfield, NJ to its current location, without an issue. I would just advise you to make sure the oil level is at the proper level. Question: A few quick things, do you know if the timing belt was ever changed and when it was last changed if it had been. Does the sunroof leak? You stated that the car burns oil, does it smoke at all when started/running? Answer: I have never the timing belt on the car, and I have owned it since 157000 miles and it currently has 206891. I think it would be great to change it, but I am no mechanic. The sunroof does not leak and it opens and closes with no issues. The car does smoke when you first start the car. There is evidence of black sut on the rear bumper. Not sure what causes this, but you are welcomed to come look at the car. Question: Is it losing oil that quickly? Can you send some better pictures to my yahoo email and can you post a clip with the engine running on photobucket? Answer: Not sure how quickly it is losing oil, considering I have not driven the car in over six months. Last time I can remember the car was losing about 1 quart of oil every two weeks I think. Sorry I do not own a camcorder. Question: Are you selling this with a clear title? Could it pass state inspection with Minimal repair? Am interested as I have a 96 that needs some repairs now. Please answer, thank you Answer: The title is clear with no liens, I would not think it would pass inspection with it burning oil, but as mentioned in the listing sorry, but I am not a mechanic.
