No reserve auction! Any Bid buys it! * Read full write up before bidding * Up for sale is a 1924 Ford Model T tudor sedan. This is a Canadian built car that was sold new in Dunnville, ON. The original dealer plate is still on the dash. The Canadian built cars are much rarer than the US built cars, 2 million in the US to only 70,000 in Canada by the production numbers. This car was built in June of 1924. The car has all the correct Canadian features; such as wheel mounted horn button, Canadian hub caps, all “Made in Canada” body markings and all “Made in Canada” engine castings. The engine and Transmission are original to the car. Serial number is C503616. The engine does have a broken crankshaft in it and would need that part replaced. All other engine components are fine. I am sure that the rods might need new babbit bearings poured to match the new crank. Also the Alternator in the car needs to be replaced. Actually the Alternator failed in the car which caused the crank to break since it is a direct drive alternator. The majority of the restoration work was done to the car about 8 years ago. Paint, Top, Interior, etc… All body panels are metal, and to my knowledge only one fender is not original to the car, all wood frame work is original. Interior is Maroon (brown) / Tan in color and has original style wool material. All glass has been replaced with modern safety glass and all windows roll up and down. Both sides of the hood has the paint lifting between the vents due to heat over the years. This is not very noticeable, but the panels would have to be repainted to fix correctly. Tires are fairly new and in very good condition. Wood spoke rims are in fine condition. Included are several original tools and extra parts. I have the ORIGINAL service manual as well as a reprint of the same manual and the owners manual. There is also other documentation and literature included I also have an original 1924 Ontario, Canada license plate for the front of the car, as well as a 1924 NY state plate. I have a flag mount for the front of the car that holds 3 miniature flags. I have American flags as well as period correct Canadian flags. This classic T ran and drove great before the mishap with the alternator. Changes to this car from original include: 12 volt electrical system, complete rewire (I have all original harnesses), Modern style Alternator, Distributor and Coil, Auxiliary rear wheel brakes, Turn Signals and Brake Light. I have posted many pictures that represent the condition of the car very well. If you have any other questions, please contact me. This car is being offered at a low but fair price considering the condition it is in and the repairs that are needed to be done to get it going again, if you were going to repair to stock. I have checked with my local T engine builder and having the engine completely rebult would cost $1,750. And this motor would not need everything replaced. Purchase price plus repairs would not put you in deeper than what the car is worth, and these cars do not loose their value. This is the perfect car to go any avenue with.
