I have pink slip, cowl tag, and vin is still stock. Cowl tag is taped to my pink slip. If youre going all stock, I might even have a set of black plates to go with it. CA DMV lets you register old black plates again! This is a turn key race car capable of running 10 seconds in the quarter. Hello all... Sadly its got to go. I ran out of room and time for my toy. This is a true 138 SS Chevelle. I bought it out of Oregon about 5 years ago off Ebay and got suckered. Seller told me it was a 10 second race car with a fresh 383 stroker. Yeah right... It went high 12's at track first four times, then oil pressure went south. After getting home, I yanked motor, and wow... piece of crap. Was just a stock 400, with crap heads, and a large cam. Im surprised it went high 12's. Then you know what happens.... The rebuild. Engine and trans came out, and I went to work. Ripped out all the wiring nightmare, stock suspension, etc. Look at pictures of front end rebuild. All new tubular a-arms upper and lower, new bushings, brakes, 90-10 Moroso, Moroso springs, etc. All new wiring, new Moroso switch panel. Engine is set back 8 inches, firewall has been cut(by previous owner) to accomidate engine setback. Lightweight core support, radiator, and no inner fenderwells. Interior of car is typical race car detail. Roll cage, aluminum tunnel, aluminum door panels, but I have carpet to keep noise down. All windows are plexiglass and side windows are stationary. Hood and deck lid are factory, but all supports were removed for weight. Both are held down by pins. Trunk is mostly stock with a fuel cell inside. Trunk not cut and no rust. By the way... Im not sure where this car spent most of its life, but there isnt a trace of body rot on it or in pans. I have a complete factory dash (even keys!!) and factory power windows for this car. If I dont sell, Im going to dis assemble and rebuild stock. This is a complete race car and cannot be driven on streets unless you put full exhaust and lights on it. With the engine/ trans/ rearend combo I wouldnt recommend it. It has a factory 12 Bolt with a Strange spool spinning 4:88's. With this engine it is set up for eighth mile. I would recommend putting in 3:73 for 1/4mi 10 second runs. Dual batteries in trunk. Exterior of car is immaculate. Minor dings and scratches in paint from removing all of the rediculous stickers the previous owner had on it. I didnt remove everything... I got tired of peeling. Just the typical sponsor stickers remain. I just had the car buffed and waxed, and I hate to let it go, its beautiful. Just the retro stripes is the only downfall.. It goes to all the car shows with me to show. All the trim, grille and emblems are brand new. Factory taillights that will work if hooked up, and headlights are just fakes for looks. Custom made roll pans/ fillers for front and rear bumper areas. Look at pics, no bumpers on car. Kinda unique, ive never seen these offered for sale, prob custom made way back when. Centerline wheels, Goodyear 31*10*15 rear, and Hoosier runners on front. New discs in front and factory drums in rear(I never got to back half of car) Fuel cell, Holley fuel system. Engine: 421 SBC 14:1 CR H beam rods Brodix Heads / Isky Roller Probe rockers Edelbrock/ Holley 800 I enlisted my engine builder Demon Race Engines in Torrance, Ca to build motor. He built me a 421 Small Block (short block only) 14:CR... H beam rods, Callies crank. All top notch parts. I had it built to beat on. Short block cost me $4600 for everything. This also included full isky roller package and gaskets. I provided new top end that i bought myself. Look at pics of bottom end and top end combo. Brodix 190's with massive amouts of flow work. These heads flow 205 now. I installed new Isky springs on these to match cam. Shown in the pictures are a Jesel type shaft rocker. These would not work for me. Geometry was off, so I purchased new roller rockers by Probe, and isky pushrods. Yes the whole engine is new right down to new chrome oil pan( which I shouldnt have done due to leaks.), electric water pump, aluminum timing cover, etc. Only the block is the original piece on engine. Block is a factory 400 that has been bored, and massaged for the huge stroke. This is a 600HP 8500rpm Monster. I have only tested this new combo at my airport( small town) twice, and wish I had the time to take it to the track. Its a 6 hour drive for me. Exhaust is oversized hooker headers, with small header mufflers installed. I had the trans looked over by a shop in Los Angeles that deals with race trannies only. The trans is a Mikes Transmission TH350, Trans-Brake, and 4800 stall. Trans is completely new and has two light passes on it. Car is NHRA and most track legal. Battery shutoffs, catch cans, helmet, jacket all included. Helmet and jacket are brand new and used once. I have full receipts on engine as well as full cam, bore, stroke info at my shop.
