Please Read Entire Description and ask all questions before bidding. I will described what I know about the truck both good and bad. True auction, starts at a $100, NO RESERVE. Needs some things but you will not be disappointed at the buy it now price. 1977 Short Box F150 Ranger XLT 4x4. 400 motor, C6 Automatic, Power Disc Brakes, Power Steering. This truck was purchased to be our personal project but due to a lack of time and too many projects it's time to thin the herd (watch for our other projects to be sold soon including 1970 U14 Half Cab Bronco and 1975 F100 Short Box 2 wheel drive). It is an unmolested survior and could be easily be a daily driver, restored to stock, or modified to your liking. Dry Eastern Oregon / Washington Truck. EXTERIOR Complete Ranger XLT Race track trim. The trim is not perfect but overall pretty good. The paint is tired but respectable. Normal dents, dings, scratches, chips found on a 30 year old truck. Some surface rust in areas but no cancer rust. Cab corners, drip rails, inner fenders, door corners, bed floor, lower tailgate, floors, battery box, etc are all solid. Previous owner had a canopy or bed caps on at one time and the touch up paint does not match. Taillights, signal lights, parking lights, headlights, wipers all work. **Have replacement trim for passenger rear corner of bed, and different grill insert for drivers side. INTERIOR Very clean. Nice carpet, good seat, complete door panels, uncracked dash pad, good gauge cluster, nice column with crusie buttons (no tilt and cruise is not hooked up). Doors open and close nice, windows roll up and down easily, wing windows function well. Gauges all work including the fuel gauge. The wiring harness is not cut or hacked up. Has both a rear gas tank and an in cab tank. In cab tank has been bypassed but is still in place. After market radio has been installed but does not work. Windshield has a crack. MOTOR 400. Previous owner rebuilt the heads, added an edelbrock intake manifold, a Barry Grant Demon carburetor ($400+), and new plug wires. Less than 2500 miles on these modifications. One pump and fires everytime. Runs nice. I have driven this truck locally and down the freeway. It drives nice. I recently put 150 miles on this truck with no issues. Truck runs at temp even on 100 degree days--factory fan shroud still in place. The motor has good oil pressure when driving. When warm at idle the pressure is on the low side (Common with 400's). Sounds nice. TRANSMISSON C6. Recent Fluid and Filter change. Has a leak around the shift mechanism arm seal. The seal needs to be replaced. Shifts soft into 3rd gear. Kit down linkage is installed but not attached to the carburetor. DRIVETRAIN Dana 44 front with power disc brakes. New track bar bushings. 31 Spline 9 inch rearend, new ujoints in the rear driveline. NP 205 transfer case functions fine. 3.50 gears. Stock suspension. Stock wheels and hubcaps. Les Schwab all terrains with lots of tread left. STEERING True power steering, not power assist. Rag joint on the column as been converted to a borgenson u-joint style set up. Still has the factory jack in place as well as a spare in the original location under the bed with 100% tread.
