Vehicle Detail
1964 Impala SS Convertible I am selling most of my project cars. I simply do not have enough time and due to a recent back injury, I seriously doubt I can continue my hobby as in years past, so I must sell them. So I pulled out all of my projects from the barns and on ebay they are going.... What we have here is a 64 Imapla SS convertible!! I bought this a few years ago and it was always kept indoors at all time. The car is a manual car with the factory 283 V-8. I never tried to start it so it is unknown if it runs. I had planned on doing a 327 or 409 in it so all I wanted was the factory manual car! I believe it still has the factory 3 speed transmission. For all you Impala experts out there, you know a 3 speed transmission in a SS car is very rare, but in a CONVERTIBLE SS, ultra rare!! This car came with the mega rare console with delete shifter plate!! This rare car is a great project. It is not a 100K restored trailer queen. Now I am very picky when I buy cars on Ebay so I always feel better when there are lots of pictures to view to make sure the are no defects or the seller is trying to hide anything. I will post almost 20 + pictures. I uploaded what I had and i will try to take more this weekend. Nothing to hide here. This is a super project. It does have rust in all the usual places. It will need floor and trunk pans. It will need lower quarters and some other spots here and there. However, this is the real deal 64 SS vert! IT HAS ALL THE CONVERTIBLE TOP STUFF. It still has all the header, latches, cylinders and pump. No one has raped this car for parts. The only item missing is the bucket seats. That's the way got it. I do have a bunch of 64 parts for sale seperately so hit me up on your wish list and I can probably help you. The car is sweet. If you are willing to spend the time the project will be worth a lot of money when complete. These prices just keep going up and up as each year goes by, so whatever you invest in this car, you will be will worth its done. They really are going up in value. I never put this car on a lift so I don't know too much about the frame or anything under the car. If its like the rest of the car it is probably in decent shape. The trunk lid was replaced with a rust free trunk lid. That is nice. The convt rear seat is set inside of the car. Those things are outrageously expensive to replace that will save you big $$ and time trying to locate one. I don't know what else to say but this is a very complete project car. It has not been fooled with and will make some lucky bidder a sweet ride. After this car is restored you will have a solid investment that will be worth some serious money. I do have lots of extra parts for sale seperately so when you pick up the car, ask and I will show you around my parts shop. This car is sold as is, no title, just bill of sale. No buy it now. Some lucky guy is going to get an awesome project. Now for the legal stuff....ONLY SERIOUS bidders. If you have bad feedback, don't bid, I will cancel your bid. An immediate non-refundable deposit of $1,000 is due at the end of the auction , NO EXCEPTION. The balance due within 3 days, NO EXCEPTION. It may be easier to just pay all at once immediately, but I will leave that up to the buyer. Those who do not comply will be reported to ebay. This is not a game. I have sold a lot of my car collection already. almost every buyer paid LATE and it is starting to torque me off. SO IF YOU CAN'T FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS OF MY AUCTION, DON'T BID!! The last buyer actually was a weenie and his wife told him he couldn't have it. So if you don't have your woman in check or your manhood intact, DON'T BID. Now, I am willing to store the car for up to a two weeks, then a $2.00 a day storage fee applies. I am nice guy with PERFECT FEEDBACK, and I like dealing with responsible ebayers! :) Good Luck and happy bidding!!
