Vehicle Detail
NO RESERVE 1997 Chevy S-10 Blazer You are looking at (I believe to be a) two owner (technically 3, but one of them was my father who signed it over to me), Chevy S-10 Blazer in VERY good, VERY driveable, and reliable condition. We have owned this vehicle since 1999 when my father purchased it from a dealership with around 20,000 miles on the clock. He drove this vehicle back and forth to work for about 10 years, 90 miles roundtrip, hence the high miles. Included is the original owners manual in a leather-like wallet. This truck has always been adult driven as well. The interior is in VERY good condition (please see photos), no rips, tears, or stains on the seats, the carpeting is a little dark in some areas, but there are no holes, and it shows a little sign of wear near the driver's seat. The exterior, as you will undoubtedly see in the pics, is also in very nice condition. The only blemishes are a little, light, rear bumper damage, and some surface rust along a couple of the doors. There is no rust through, but the paint has come off in those areas, clearly shown in the pics. There is also some clear coat coming off the "chrome" door trim as well. This vehicle is in EXCELLENT running condition and has had quite of bit of maintenance. I have lots of receipts which will be included in the sale, and I will list the most recent work below. I will also host a video for any potential bidders to watch so they can see how quickly the truck starts, how smooth the engine runs, that there is no check engine lights on, and that the vehicle in the video is the vehicle you can bid on. When I get under the hood is pretty loud, but that is just because the digital camera doesn't have a really good microphone, I can assure you that the vehicle is very quiet, but you will see in the video that there is no stalling, hitching, hesitation, or vibration, and that the revs go up smoothly and without a hiccup. If you can't click the link for some reason, please copy and paste it into your browser to see the video. http://s871.photobucket.com/albums/ab279/MagicMack/?action=view¤t=P8160090.mp4 Recent work: All professionally completed by ASE Certified Automotive Service Center 01/20/09: 4 Brand new 55000 mile tires, mileage @ installation 166231, leaving approx. 40231 miles remaining. All of the above is in addition to regular oil changes, and detailing of course. This is a VERY well maintained vehicle. This is a well optioned vehicle as well: Power Steering Power Brakes Power Windows Power Door Locks Power driver's seat On-the-fly Push button 4WD, with High and Low settings A/C (needs charging) Roof rack Aluminum wheels Privacy Glass High quality smoked vent visors, and hood visor Cruise Control Intermittant Wipers Good quality factory stereo with CD player Rear wiper and defroster Overhead computer with digital compass, thermometer, extra storage, and book lighting 2 sets of keys and keyless entry fobs In the interest of total disclosure, I will list everything I can think of that is not in very good condition, but remember it is 13 years old and to be expected. The driver's door hinge pin broke approximately 2 months ago, which I replaced with a simple galvanized bolt and nut. The door works perfectly and is actually smoother than the original pin. The new bolt can be seen in the one of the photos. The door is perfectly aligned and works just fine. There is a creak when the door opens, but other than that, no worries. The center console latch is present but the little spring that provides tension has come off and I don't know how to put it back, but I have it. The console closes and sits tight, but when you pull the latch it doesn't "bounce back", but it works just fine. The dashboard is a bit sunfaded. The left side of the cargo net anchor is present but part of the edge is broken which causes the edge of the net to slide off, so I've rigged the net with a bungee cord to hold it, again it works just fine, but I want to be honest. As mentioned above, the A/C needs a charge, but I don't use it anyways, so I never bothered. That is about all I can think of, if you have any questions, or would like to schedule a test drive, or talk to me in person feel free to email, or call my cell phone: 330-814-9896, my name is Jamie. I only ask that you make calls between 9am and 10pm EDT, no earlier or later please. Thanks. I promise you will not be disappointed with this truck, it has given us MANY years of happy service and has several good ones left. Buyer is responsible for any shipping, but if you need the vehicle delivered within a reasonable distance, we can work something out, please email or call. Also, the vehicle is for sale locally, thus the auction could end at any time. Good Luck and happy bidding. On Aug-22-10 at 17:32:45 PDT, seller added the following information: As it turns out, via the free history report, we actually purchased the truck originally in 1999 with just a shade under 35,000 miles, not the 20,000 I mentioned above. I apologize, and would have stated the original mileage correctly to begin with had the report been available to me when I did the original description. Thanks.
