Vehicle Detail

Up for Auction is our Beloved 190D. Reason - need the cash. We flew out to SanDiego to buy it in 07 for $3900 and have put about 25,000 miles on it in that time. We drove it back to Buffalo. We are in zip code 14141. That was a long trip and we have driven it back and forth to Florida several times. Regular maintenance has been done. We have run it on Diesel, Biodiesel made from wvo and 50/50 mix of filtered WVO and diesel - any combination of these fuels works great. The 50/50 mix is easier than making biodiesel and still cuts your fuel cost in half if you can get the WVO. Had a paint job done - originally was a crappy matte gold. Changed oil and filters (fuel filters as well) every 3000 mi. Did brakes and rotors, Changed serpentine belt and all fuel injector lines. New motor mounts and strut plates. New Ingintion switch and 2 new keys. Heat fine, A/C inopperable right now, but HAS A/C just needs to be looked at - we have run it before and it worked so maybe just a recharge, but might need a condensor. GETS over 40 MPG - iron clad. That is my combo of city / highway driving which is about a 40/60 ratio. interior not bad at all - normal wear and tear. Driver's seat has the beginnings of a spring poking through which is why the pillow is there, but no tears. The throttle cable is cobbled together with a cable screw hold, but that's how it was when we bought it and has worked for us, but if I kept it I would eventually put in a new throttle cable. The tires still have good life on them - bought new ones at some point. Is missing front left running light lens - cheap to buy on e-bay. I would not hesitate to drive it cross country anytime. Give it some care and TLC and you will have an amazingly economical vehicle that has that classic Mercedes styling that always looks good. I have done more things to this car that I have probably omitted this is all I can think of for now. Thanks for looking.
