Vehicle Detail
This is a 1977 TRIUMPH BONNEVILLE 5-Speed motorcycle that I purchased 4 years ago in hopes of restoring. The bike was a great candidate because it ran great with tons of power!! Doesn't smoke and shifted excellent. I originally was going to do a minor restoration, and eventually decided to take it all the way, with the exception of the motor and tranny. This bike has dual Amal 930 carbs that were dialed in perfectly. It also had a great gas tank that was near perfect. Having two kids and a house put the stop to the restoration. I purchased the following parts that go with the bike... New seat cover---New Dunstall mufflers---New front fender---New handlebars---New Avon Roadrunner front tire installed and balanced---New Avon MK2 rear tire installed and balanced---New rear rim with stainless spokes---New headlight bezel---New front brake caliper chrome cover with sticker---New handgrips---New foot, brake, shift and kicker rubbers---New chain---New gas tank center badge---New Wiring harness---New plug wires---New handlebar end mirror---New condensers and points---New brake switch---New brake pads---New brake hoses---New master cylinder cover---New carb to air filter hoses. The parts that are needed are a new rear brake disc(the old one was grooved badly). Cosmetically I was going to fix small dents in front of frame(see pictures) and powdercoat. Rechrome chainguard, rear fender and grab rail. Buff out gas tank to take out small scratches(see pictures). Straighten bent fin on head(see picture). Small weld need on seat hinge pin on frame. This bike also has two different Smiths gages and a Norton front master cylinder that I would have left. I spent over $1100.00 in parts alone on this bike. It could be assembled with what I already purchased and ridden. Or spend a little more and have a great British bike. This bike ran great and didn't smoke a bit before disassembly and was stored covered inside. I have a reserve set extremely low for all that is there with this bike. The frame and motor are matching numbers and comes with a clean title. Thanks and don't let this one pass you by!!!
