Vehicle Detail
This will be the last time I list this car. If it doesn't sell this time, I will keep it and fix it up myself when I get the time. The starting price is the least I will take for it. This is a 1966 Pontiac 2+2 hardtop coupe with the original 421, 4 barrel engine and turbo 400 automatic trans. One of 6,383 built that year. Originally Nightwatch Blue, it has been repainted white and has some non-original features including a fuel cell mounted in the trunk. I have a correct gas tank in good condition that will go with the car. It currently has number 96 heads and an aluminum intake on it, but I have the original 092 heads and intake that came with the car. I also have a correct Carter AFB that I will throw in. Car has some previous bodywork and an older paint job that is showing its age. The bumpers were even painted white, I have stripped them and they are good for rechroming, no rust holes or major problems. It has some small bubbles of rust coming through in the bottom of the front fenders, front of the doors and bottoms of both rear quarters. There has also been some bodywork performed around the "gills" on the driver's side of the car (Please see the attached photos for the rusted areas). It is rusted in several areas around the trunk opening channel. The car runs and drives, the brakes were completely done about a year ago. It runs good, no smoking or noise in the engine, it is a very strong motor. The car will need everything cosmetically to make it a nice car, carpet, dash pad, seat covers, package tray and paint and body work, but it is a great car to start with and it has the original 421 which is very rare. The buyer is responsible for shipping or pickup of the car. I can store it short term if the buyers needs to. Buyer is to make a $250 non-refundable deposit with paypal within 24 hours of auction's end with the balance due within 5 business days. No exceptions! If you do not pay for the car within 5 days I will relist it and keep the deposit for my trouble. Anyone is welcome to come view the car in person and I would highly recommend it, as it is a car that needs restoration and I do not want to the buyer to be disappointed with it. I will be glad to take extra photos or any answer any questions you may have. Thanks for looking!
