Up for bid is a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4x2. The engine is strong and runs great. I drove it to work daily before the transmission went out. Transmissions for this vehicle can be had on eBay for $300-500. I have installed a transmission on one of these Jeeps before and it took about 4.5 hours. I will throw in a Haynes step-by-step auto repair manual for this car FREE. The starting bid will be $350. The engine alone is worth $500. The car does not drive due to the transmission, so this auction is for pick-up only. Payment is expected within 3 days of auction end if using PayPal or can be made in person when the vehicle is picked-up. Vehicle MUST be picked up with-in 7 days after auction end....NO EXCEPTIONS. On Aug-16-10 at 12:59:37 PDT, seller added the following information: Please see the photos for body dents and dings. There are dents in the passenger and driver side fenders. The hood also has a dent as well. This can be clearly seen in the photos, I just wanted make sure it was also noted in the description. I wrote down the mileage of another vehicle I was preparing to sell. I found this out when I put a battery in the car to see if it would start. I also noticed a small ding in the windshield I didn't notice it when I took the photo, but can be seen when in the drivers seat. BTW- The engine fired up on the first start. The hatch will not open. There is a glass panel that does open that can be used to remove items from the back cargo area.
