Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a well maintained 1966 Ford Mustang, 6 cylinder 3 Speed Maunal Coupe. The car is garage kept with minimal mileage put on the vehicle. This car has all original features like front bucket seats, rear bench seat, original center consol on site (not in the vehicle) and full size spare in the trunk. I purchased this charm in 2002 as my first car and have graduated to a 2007 Mustang. The vehicle numbers are as follows... Vin (listed as Warranty Number)-6F07T231413, Body-65A, Color-M, Trim-25, Date-21A, D.S.O-54, Axle-5, Trans-1, Mileage- 115,263 MANY UPGRADES in the car! I replaced the fuel tank and sending unit, fuel lines were cleared and checked throught the fuel filter and the carburator was cleaned and adjusted. The rear suspension is completely replaced to include rear leaf springs and shocks. Shortly after the rear suspension was replaced the front suspension was replaced not including the coil springs. This includes inner and outter tie rods, sway bar, end link kit, lower control arms, upper ball joints, all polyeurothane bushings and front shocks. Outside of suspension the front cowl induction was repaired due to water leaking into the vehicle from the cowl vents. The heater core and all ducts have been replaced and the vehicle has working heat and defrost. The interior carpet is new with the carpet underlay for improved noise reduction and insulation. The floor boards have been repaired, with no rust, but may consider replacing. All new seat belts installed, interior restoration, new glove box, window felts and rollers, along with a removable stereo/CD player with 4-speaker setup that can be taken out for either show purposes or if the true nostalgic feel is desired. Under the hood the engine has undergone basic service since ownership including valve spacing adjustments, timing adjustments, etc but no major engine components have been replaced or have shown the need. The exhaust manifold was replaced with all new hardware. The battery tray has been replaced with a new metal one. The starter, alternator, as well as the plug wires have all been replaced with approximately 25,000 miles on them. Body wise the car has had a new front bumper put on it, a new front valance (chin spoiler), Right front fender, Driver side door skin, after market GT350 style hood scoop, new FORD hood lettering and chrome trim as well as new rear brake light lenses and bezels. Finally the Motor mounts are new. All interior lights are working. The car needs little fixes (with all parts are on hand which will go with the car). The rear brake lights and turn signals are not functional but a new wiring harness and turn signal assembly is with the car. I just do not have time to fix up the car due to my new business travel. The fix should be simple as its a bad ground or a faulty wire from the steering column back to the pigtails. All the brakelight pigtails are new as well as the previously mentioned wiring harness and turn signal assembly within the steering column. The front frame rails have some corrosion at the S-Curve from the passenger compartment to the engine bay. The vehicle drives well. The rear quarter panels have little corrosion as notated in the pictures. Included in the price of the vehicle are many parts, some original, some aftermarket ranging from weather stripping, to the center consol, steering wheels to body parts, etc. A more concise list will be provided to serious inquiries. Estimated total value of additional parts estimated at $250-300. All in all this is a solid, eye turning classic car that has been both used as a daily driver as well as a fair weather cruiser. The car is in sound mechanical condition however i would not call it a show car - yet. With a little work and minimum investment it could be an amazing addition to any family or collection. I have recently purchased a new 2007 Mustang and am selling this one to help pay off as well as modify my new project. Any questions, comments or requests for additional information or photos will be responded to and addressed as soon as possible. Thank you for taking the time to consider this american classic.
