Vehicle Detail
1969 Cougar XR7, 351 V8, Automatic - Parts Obtained car summer of 2005, when Grandfather passed. Drove car from Florida to Pennsylvania, and continued driving all through 2006 with good state inspections. Began restoration in 2007, but stopped working on the car Spring 2008, as I was sent overseas for military duty. The car has sat in a closed, covered warehouse in Philadelphia since. At this point I consider the car in a "gray" status/condition. Have numerous new parts ordered from Mustangs Unlimited; new carpet, seats, front/rear bumpers plus hardware, outside trim...there's probably more but can't remember and haven’t gone through all the boxes. The body needs work as shown in the pictures, but nothing I would consider major or anything that anyone with basic restoration experience couldn't easily handle. Bubbles under paint driver's door and left rear fender. Right rear fender has rust near bumber. Trunk is dirty but solid. To my knowledge the engine has not ran since Spring 2008, and honestly don't know what it would take to get running again. Engine has well over 100k miles and the transmission is original, both to my knowledge never been worked other than maintenance. New sequential turn signal and front/rear floor boards installed 2007. Would make a good project car or stripped for good parts. Any questions or need additional info I'll respond promptly.
