This is a 1958 Edsel Villager Station Wagon. It has the E-400 V8 with 4BBL and automatic transmission. Interior is very good and usable as is. Only needing repairs in the driver and rear seat bottoms, the rear seat is almost perfect. Dash is excellent but needs a dash pad. The car runs and drives. The automatic transmission works well and has a mechanical shifter installed under the steering column. The select shift in the steering wheel is there but the shifter motor assembly removed at the transmission. All the associated parts and components go with the car for re-installation of the motorized shifting mechanism. The heater control and vent activation also use a DC motor and activator mechanism, that too comes with the car but has been removed for repairs. These were common failure points for this car and added to the “Edsel mystique”. The car is very solid and complete, it has all Hubcaps, body trim and air cleaner. The floors are solid. The car will run and drive. It should be serviced and the brakes checked before any major trip. Otherwise it is a good solid car and can be used as is with minimal work.
