This car is our “Daily Driver” and has served us well for the last 4 years and continues to serve us well, and will serve you well, for that matter. Get ready for an unabashed no defect barred description of the car! I hope this does not scare you away from the car, because it really does run well. What is better: being unsure of what you are buying or knowing exactly what you are getting?? For you, it’s better to know everything, and here it is!! There have been a few minor problems that have been easy to fix, but now we need to move and we are not taking this car with us. KBB Fair Rating and Car Description Below: Some mechanical or cosmetic defects and needs servicing but is still in reasonable running condition. The car starts 1st Time Every Time and stays running (very strong) with no difficulty EVEN IN WINTER; however some mechanical work is needed sometime in the future. I have been running it the way it is with no difficulty. Clean title history I have it registered and have the title. The paint, body or interior need work performed by a professional: There are signs of rust (has NOT come through the paint yet), the front Buick logo fell off, driver door hinge bent during a wind storm so it clips the front quarter panel, but again, works fine there are no water or wind leaks, and the center console clip is broken. Rear hatch pistons do not hold up hatch. May need new Tires: NO: Tires are brand new, less than 1,000 on them (we didn’t intend to sell the car, we want to keep it, but are moving). There may be some repairable rust damage: yes, as noted above. As for the rest: Connector: There is a connector that seems to be failing and causing the ABS and AWD lights to come on. The ABS still works, I do not know if the AWD does when the light comes on. Fuel gauge does not work. We use the gallons used and MPG to determine when to get fuel. We never run out – because we fill up at 15-16 gallons used. There seems to be an oil leak but very slow, as the level does not need filling often, just periodically (once a month at best). The leak does cause a little smoke. I had our mechanic look at it and he said there is a seal that will cost $250-350 to repair. I have not, since I only needed to top off (1/2 quart) once a month.Fan dial was replaced by toggle switch. New Items: Alternator: Rebuilt by Aurthor's AutoBrakes: I just replaced the front brakes 3 weeks ago and the rears are fine. I replaced both front calipers as the sliders were seized (if you don’t know what that is, it’s fairly common to all vehicles).Brake Line (broke a line while changing the brakes).Transmission Fluid and Filter was just changed (less than 500 miles).Tires: all 4 are new with less than 2,000 miles on them (they still have the little hair things on the side).New Inspection (May) MPG: The average MPG is from 19 – 23 MPG. Fuel tank capacity is 18 gallons (but we fill up before 16g used). Again, the car starts First Time every time and stays running. The engine is strong and other than the several (really minor) items and the oil leak, the car is in great shape. It will serve you well for quite some time.
