Here's your chance to own a piece of history. In 1975 Honda introduced the GL1000. It was the first touring motorcycle produced. At the time, the GL1000 was the biggest, heaviest and second quickest motorcycle on the market. This is a 1975 Honda GL1000. For a motorcycle that is 35 years old, you would be hard pressed to one in such condition. I purchased this from an older gentleman in Florida about a year ago. He was selling because of a terminal illness. I have ridden this motorcycle several times and have never had a problem with it. Everything on this bike works and looks like almost new condition. There is some light rust on the spokes and the ends of the foot pegs. Also a few of the bolts heads have some light rust. The rest of the bike is in excellent condition, no rust or scratches. There is a small dent in the front fender that is not really noticeable. Only 13,000 of these were sold in 1975, so to find one today in the condition this bike is in is a rare find. I would feel comfortable to ride this bike on any long distance trip. I have a 2003 GL1800 that I ride regularly so this bike does not get much use. I felt I should offer it up for auction and maybe someone who would want to ride it regularly or collector might get more use than I. This is being sold as is, no returns and no warranty implied. A non-refundable $500.00 deposit is required at auction end, with the balance do within 7 days in the form of a cashiers check or cash. Buyer is responsible for shipping or pick up.
