Vehicle Detail
An excellent running Cord. It has the Ford 302V8 and automatic transmission. A new gas tank was installed. I have had the car almost 4 years. Have new turned dashboard to install. Great head turner and a fun convertible to own. The history: this version of the Cord has a newly redesigned body with respect to the Cords of the 1930s; the Cords were rolling down Americas highways once again in the late 60's. This time, with plenty of horsepower. William Lear father of the Lear Jet bought the company in 1967 and applied his knowledge of fiberglass for the bodies. The SAMCO model Cords rolled out of the Tulsa factory in two different models, The Warrior and Royale. The Warrior, with a 108 inch wheel base, and the extended version Royale with a 113 inch wheel base. Both models came equipped with either a Ford 302 engine, or the Chrysler 440 Magnum engine. The factory soon moved its production work to the Keystone Lake community of Mannford, Oklahoma West of Tulsa. During this three year period, some 400 cars were built eclipsing the earlier production models of 1966. NADA pricing starts at $15,300 for this model. Actual mileage unknown. This is an early model and does not have roll up windows, has side curtains, which I do not have. If you bid, bid to own as this is a legally binding contract; have finances in order first.
