1997 BMW E36 M3 Sedan Dinan Carbon Stage-1 Lux Contour Silver Exc Cond!! Excellent condition and it shows! This is the second M3 sedan I've owned and I loved them both! You can't beat the M3 for performance, handling, style (better looking than most new cars), luxury and most of all durability. With 4 doors it's a great family car, too! It's also very quick: 0-60 in 5.3 seconds. This $40K vehicle (originally) has the Dinan Stage-1 performance kit professionally installed. The Stage-1 kit is very mild and yet noticeable! Dinan is "The" name in BMW performance, as their upgrades do not void the factory warranty when installed. The Dinan Stage-1 kit increases the intake air flow by removing the restrictive BMW air box and installing the Dinan cool carbon fiber air intake system. The car also has performance software and an M-50 Plenum (larger, less restrictive throttle bodies allow the engine to breathe more easily). This $2000 (total) upgrade slightly modifies the ignition timing to get a more efficient fuel burn. Horsepower and Torque are increased from the stock 240 to about 280 horsepower as a result. However, there are no internal "go-fast" parts so you can rely on the tested durability of the BMW M3 German engineering design, on all components. Front & rear strut bars ($400) stiffen the suspension, allowing for tighter handling. Aluminum Racing Dynamics Pedals ($200) add a nice touch. Clear corners ($200), body-colored moldings ($200), and a black grille ($80) update the look. The engine runs VERY strong, never smokes, and has always had regular oil changes with Mobil-1 pure synthetic oil. Always premium 92 Octane fuel. This car has the desirable "M-Contour" wheels and gets 23mpg City, 30mpg Highway. This car also has powered & heated black leather seats. AC blows cold. Euro Angel Eye headlights w/ glass lenses ($500). Wheel locks ($50). Sony CD player ($200, works great). Black/Mulberry Gray Lux inner door panels. Driver & passenger airbags. Cruise Control. I have had all work done by a professional BMW shop and can put you in touch with them if you are serious about the car. Belts, Spark Plugs, Tie Rod ends (alignment), fuel filter, valve cover gasket, & crank shaft position sensor all recently replaced. The only flaws are that the front passenger seat has a small tear (pictured: can be repaired), the car had a minor right front fender-bender in 2006 at 170K miles (no resulting issues), and the odometer had an issue at 200K and needed replacement--so the car has 100K more miles than what the odometer shows (215K instead of 115K). The good thing about this is that your friends will think you have a 115K car! I also have a receipt for the odometer change, which was done professionally.
