Vehicle Detail

This is a 92 VW Corrado SLC VR6. THE GOOD: The body is in great shape. It could use a good polish but the paint looks excellent for a 92. The passengers door has 2 dings from what i figure is from a parking lot. The hood has one dent in the very front from my kids getting a little to close with there bike. The interior is near mint. The leather is in perfect shape with no tears, rips, or holes. It is a little dirty but my vac is broke and i cant sweep it out. Everything on the car worked as original. I replaced the sunroof with one out of a passat which is glass. Transmission has no issues and shifted perfectly. Tires are good, but the drivers rear has a slow leak. I also replaced all coolant hoses with silicone racing hoses. THE BAD: The engine was pulled because of low oil pressure. I planned to make a project of it and go ahead and bore it out, turbo and the works. That project got canned. The motor is in great shape. The low pressure came from one of the timing chain guides (plastic) breaking into pieces and getting caught in the oil pump strainer. So the motor just needs a good dip and put back together. I have the factory manual on cd to aid in this. The front end has no damage it just has to be removed to get the motor out. The internals of the motor are in good shape with nothing major needing replaced. The bearings in the ac compressor were starting to go bad and squeal and the radiator has a crack. The car has never been wrecked. This model vr6 also has a distributor instead of electronic ignition. I haven't seen to many of those either. This would be a great project for someone. I have never seen a better looking corrado. I noticed auto check says the car was hit in the rear. I have looked the car over extremely well and cant find any signs of it. All the welds are factory welds and the are no seems from the clear coat like on a respray. If it was hit then the only thing that could have been replaced would be the rear bumper cover. Anything else would show some sign of being repaired.
