This diesel rabbit has been in my family for ~16 years now. My wife and I were the 2nd owners and my parents were the 3rd. It is mechanically sound and has always proven reliable. It typically gets 49-51 MPG, something no other manufacturers have been capable of. It has recently had a new clutch and shifter linkage installed. It has had regular maintenance since we have owned it and should prove cheap reliable transportation for it's future owner. The only issues are some small rust spots on the driver's door, a missing back up light lense cover, and corner bumper trim that is damaged. All in all a very nice diesel rabbit for its age with no major issues. Thanks for looking and bid with confidence. On Aug-07-10 at 17:47:22 PDT, seller added the following information: I was just informed that the actual mileage is 177,099 not 164,000 that I stated when I opened the auction. I hope I have not caused any problems I was given the wrong information. I am listing this vehicle for my parents and there was a miscommunication there.
