1979 Mustang V8 PACE CAR One of only 10 Mustang Indy Pace Cars produced as a "500 Festival" car for a select number of VIP's and Celebrities to drive or to be used as flag cars at the Indianapolis 500 in 1979. Very Very Rare 302 V8 engine backed by the unbeatable C4 Automatic transmission. The interior of the Mustang is as mint as you will every see. Everything on the inside of the car, from the seats to the dash looks like it just rolled off of the show room floor. The original paint still shines well and the graphics are not faded in any way shape or form. This is also a sunroof option car. Sunroof is in great shape and does not leak. There are places where the paint had chipped over the years, but was touched up to prevent rusting. The only spot of rust on this car is just behind thing driver’s door. There is a picture of the spot, which can easily be fixed. The mileage on the car is showing 43,516. It may have already rolled over. This Mustang is ready to be enjoyed and get some serious attention driving down the road.
