1979 Triumph Bonneville

Very nice, all original '79 Bonneville with matching numbers. Well cared for California bike. I bought this in 2000 from 2nd California owner when it had 14,860 miles and have ridden it with care only 2,740 miles over the past 10 years. Clutch replaced at 15,000 miles. Just tuned up, carbs cleaned, new battery, and oil changed. Runs great, no vibrations or leaks, starts on 1st or 2nd kick, and everything mechanical and electrical works as it should. My mechanic for the past 10 who has a collection of old British motorcycles and races vintage Triumphs says this Bonneville is in really nice shape. He would be glad to answer any questions about its condition. I will provide serious buyers with his contact info. This Bonneville has never been down or damaged. It has Norton pea-shooter mufflers -- I have the original Triumph pipes too. Original handbook as well. The paint on the gas tank shows its age (see photos) and there are areas on the mufflers where some of the chrome is worn off. The tires have under 2,000 miles on them, but because of their age there is checking and probably should be replaced if the bike is ridden aggressively.
