Up for auction is a 1979 Pontiac Trans Am 6.6L with the original 403 Olds motor. I had purchased this car about three years ago and now ran into some financial difficulties; I am forced to sell it. This car is good has a strong and running motor. I had begun to restore it over the past 3 years and this is what I had done so far: The Engine: I had the carburetor rebuilt, engine tuned and fluids changed. I have no issues with the engine and it is in good running order. The car starts right up and is smooth when in idle. When you press on the gas pedal you have instant reaction, no delays. The exterior: I had sanded down the car and primed it. The car will need to be sanded, primed and eventually painting again, if you do not like the primed look. I had purchased 4 refurbished rims with center caps, 4 brand new Firestone tires and all new lug nuts. I replaced the stock cat and muffler with a brand new high flow cat and dual Dynomax exhaust system. Under the car: Two brand new rear leaf springs and 4 all new ac delco shocks. Replaced all 6 body bushings. Brand new rear brake drums and new front brake calipers. Replaced all brake line with brand new stainless steel lines. Also replaced the master cylinder and brake booster. The interior: I had the car stripped from the inside and had the interior either replaced on refurbished. I replace the following with brand new items: Two layers of insulations, carpet, radio, speakers, window cranks, door locks, door handle plate, headliner, dome light, rear deck panel, door weather stripping, door sill, dash pad and front seat covers. All other parts of the interior have been refurbished. I will inculde the three original tires and rims that were removed from the car when they were replaced.
