Car was purchased 2.5 years ago. Exterior paint job and full interior remodeling completed by previous owner, all else replaced by us (see attached receipts) via professional restoration shop here in Kansas City. Over $9,000 invested on top of $8,000 purchase price (Total $17,000 invested). Virtually everything replaced (transmission, suspension, brakes, gas tank, rear end, etc.) except straight six engine, which is now shot. Wife has been driving the car until 2 weeks ago when the engine finally gave out. We are done with the car and ready to let someone else finish it out. New engine and possibly after market a/c is all it needs, the rest is done. Body and paint are decent for a driver but not perfect ­– a handful of small dinks (some on rear deck but I was not able to get them to show up on the photos). Car is beautiful and was driven in parade last summer. Could be a show car without a lot of effort in the right hands. We purchased the car from a California seller, and I do not believe there is any putty in this car. The specialty Mustang repair shop who did all the work for us ("Mustangs & More" in Merriam, KS) indicated that the metal is good throughout. The vehical is garage kept & covered when not driven.
