Vehicle Detail

Hello, Hopefully you are looking at my NX250 for sale because you have been searching for one of these rare, cult followed bikes. If you are, you will be very pleased with this low mileage, clean example. The paint still shines, the headlight is clear and white, and the seat and wheels look like new. This is a fine example of a NX 250. Bought new by a man in his 60's in 1988, he kept the bike for 21 years. He used it to go into town to get coffee and meet with his friends on nice mornings. He did this until one day (when he was then 80 years old) he lost his balance (as the bike is tall) in the driveway and laid it down. His daughter saw this and said "you are selling that bike before you kill yourself!" He sadly did, and it went to a woman for her first bike. She rode it for a season and went to a cruiser. I bought it from her in April. I am selling it because something has come up, and I unfortunately need the money. It has the low, street only miles of 6,978 currently (I may still take it out for a short jaunt, so it may roll over into low 7k) and runs great. I just had the oil changed, and the tires are new (less than 200 miles on them). Those of you who may have stumbled across this listing but don't know about this bike, it is a liquid cooled, 6 speed transmission bike. Although sold as a dual sport in this country for two years, it is most fun on the streets or on fire roads/dirt roads. It was very technologically advanced, features Honda's "Pro-Link" suspension, and had body styling that make it look like a still current model. I took a lot of pictures to try to accurately describe its condition. It is in overall beautiful shape, but does have a few scratches on it (it is 22 years old, after all :-). When the original owner dropped it on the left side the fairing was scraped, and I think the distance between the gearshift lever and footrest are closer because the footrest must have been slightly bent (easy fix), there are a few scratches on the left side of the front fender, a small scratch on the left side of the upper fairing near the headlight, the left front side reflector near the wheel is cracked, and a small chip on the upper fairing right below it. See pictures for closeups. The metal clasp on the seat cover has a little surface rust, the black handlebar controls have faded (typical Honda issue) and the front tire seems to have a slight flat spot in it from sitting over the winter which produces a little shake in the handlebars between 43 and 47 mph. Although I just nit picked it to death because I understand that it is important to know EXACTLY what you are buying if you are doing so sight unseen, I assure you that this bike gets MANY compliments on its rare, clean condition. It starts conversations among enthusiasts as this model bike is one that is hardly seen. I encourage local bidders to come and see the bike in person, or I could drive it to a local shop for an inspection (you pick the dealer of course), and pay the cost of the check. I am willing to take any additional photographs you may like, and for serious inquires, you could email me your phone number and I will happily call you. I am sad to see this go, but unfortunately must sell her. Happy bidding.....
