Email with any questions. 1980 AMC Eagle Wagon Limited 4x4 Nicely Optioned This is a 1980 Eagle Wagon Limited that has spent most of its life in Colorado Springs, CO. It's a salt free western car, unlike many of these cars from the notorious "Salt Belt" back east. Now owned by only its third owner. She bought the car about 10 years ago with approximately 52,000 miles on it. Active in the local AMC club its primary use has been club functions. But at 75 years young she has decided it's time to sell. This car is not "perfect", but is in better condition than many of the Eagles out there for sale. The Dark Brown Metallic paint is original and generally in very good condition, still with a nice lustre. Some minor flaws including some road chips and minor scrapes on a flare or two. The original woodgrain is now showing its age, as the passenger side photos show. That is the worst of the woodgrain. Bumpers are nice, never in an accident. The options this car has: Power seats (both sides), power windows and power locks, cruise control, tilt wheel, factory AM/FM stereo radio, A/C, rear window wiper, fog lamps, remote mirrors - both sides, variable wipers, roof rack and 5-spoke mag wheels. All windows work, the cruise works, the radio works (and sounds like 1980 - no boomer here). Only 82,494 actual miles. 99% in Colorado. 258-I6, no major leaks, runs well. Decent Goodyear Eagle Aqua-tread tires. Power steering and power disc brakes. Full-time 4WD, as all Eagle's were in 1980. Automatic transmission. This car runs, drives and stops as it should. The owner had a new battery installed last Fall. Since owning it she has replaced the front brakes (right front caliper was sticking), so both sides got new rotors, calipers and pads (from NAPA). The right half-shaft had a torn boot and was clicking so she replaced both half-shafts (from NAPA). The belts have recently been replaced, as have all four shocks (3-way gas adjustables up front). She replaced the windshield and she bought the tires which have approximately 20,000 miles on them now. But, this Eagle is a nice Street Presentable driver, not a show car. Take a look at the interior. No rips, tears, or burns. The owner had the seats recovered in vinyl as she wanted to upgrade and these are now power seats on both sides, the originals were not power. Again, this Eagle is a nice Street Presentable driver, not a show car. It does need a few things: the A/C needs a charge - it looks like it may need a new compressor as there is some oil seepage around the compressor's head gasket. And it needs a headliner, as pictures show it's sagging over the passenger's head. The rear window wiper works fine but the rear squirter does not. The vanity lights for the mirror on the passenger visor do not work and the driver's side seat belt (short part to the floor) was replaced and doesn't match. Payment will be made to the owner in Colorado Springs, CO and clear Colorado title to come from her. Will help get the car aboard a carrier if needed.
