Up for auction is a beautiful 1969 Dodge Dart GTS with the rare 383 big block. This is a southern car and has not had any rust repairs. You can see from the pictures that the underside is solid as a rock and has not been cut up as many of these cars have been. I have had the car for 4 1/2 years and it has never let me down. In 1969 only 488 GTS's were built with the 383 big block and the 727 automatic. I wonder how many are left with numbers matching and no rust repairs? The engine and the transmission are matching numbers to the car. The engine runs strong and does not smoke. The automatic transmission shifts as it should. The current mileage shown is 54,082. The mileage is not correct as the speedo is not functioning. I never made any attempt to diagnose the problem. The radio in the car is not correct and does not work. I never tried to fix it, the rumble of the big block is music enough.The gentleman that restored the car lost the fender tag. They can be reproduced as original but I never got around to it. I can provide the necessary information to the new owner. Please feel free to ask questions as I"m probably forgetting something. The car is available for inspection.
