This is a clean Studebaker Hawk with a V-8. Loaded with a trunk full of parts! Lots of original manuals, most of the interior panels. Car has new tires, brakes, exaust and more. Drives great, converted to floor shift with a 3spd original transmission. Shifts like it should seems to be done right. Looks to be the original V-8 engine, runs good no smoking. I only drove the car a few miles to check things out. I took this car in trade on another one I had for sale. No floor carpet, floors are dry and solid. I did not put this car on a lift but the body appears to be rust free and doors hood and all the lines match up nice! Looks to be the original Patina look paint. Hub caps are mint! You can drive this thing home, I took it up to 70MPH and it seemed to have plenty of power and drove smooth. Has an overdrive T-handle, might have double over but I never tried it. I will answer as many questions I can but Im not a Studebaker expert. Thanks for looking! Also the pics of the floors make it look rusty but they are not. Thats the old carpet glue and residue. I cannot find any rot on this car, looks to have been in a dry climate all its life. Closer inspection of the engine tells me its probably the original, has a 2BBL carb. Also comes with door felt and weather strip kit, uncut, meaning you have to cut to length. There is lots of old manuals and other books that come with it and new and used parts that belong to it. Thanks for looking.On Jul-23-10 at 08:49:57 PDT, seller added the following information: I drove this car down the Hwy this morning to test Overdrive out, and it works as it should. By pulling the T-handle in 3rd gear and lifting off the throttle is went in smooth no noise at all. Speedo is accurate and steady. Shows 41,900 miles, might be true due to the wear on the clutch, brake, and throttle pads is minimal. I put it in OD and drove it up to 85MPH and it still had great power and drove good. All lights and blinkers work, and all switches and gauges, except the temp shows cold all the time I drove it.On Jul-24-10 at 11:40:36 PDT, seller added the following information: Has all the linkage and shifter to put it back to the factory 3 on the tree! Even comes with another set of taillight lenses in a box.
