Unrestored 1968 BMW R69S. This bike has been in the family since new. My brother bought it in 1968 and I have owned it since 1977. It has a little over 113,000 miles on it. It had a motor overhaul (valves, pistons & rings) at 99,000 miles. I still have the receipt. The bike is all original except for the mufflers & tires. It has been sitting in storage since 1991 so it's dirty and needs a complete restoration. This bike has always been well maintained and was running just fine when it was put in storage. I wanted to keep it and restore it, but my financial situation won't allow it, so I must sell my ol' sweetie to a good home. The only damage I can see is: Front rim slightly bent, tail light lens badly cracked, kickstart lever broke and was welded back togrther, kickstand broke off (still have it), front fender bracket broke and welded back together, headlight ring slightly dented, plastic ignition keyhole cover is missing as well as the original key/light switch (I have the spare), fork boots are shot, very small dent in rear fender and a couple small tears on the lower rear of the seat. Of course, the battery is long gone. The paint is still in very good condition and the tires are like new, but there is some surface rust on some of the chrome. The mufflers look like they're shot too (a mouse made a home in one of them). Included with the bike: Original service manual and tool kit, Chilton's service & repair manual, BMW bullet shaped saddlebags with mounting brackets (covers missing), and a Zundapp fairing (yes, it fits).
