This beautiful 1986 GMC Caballero (GM's version of the El Camino) is the second to the last production year of the model. The car is in excellent condition with very minor exterior damage and no interior damage. I purchased the car from the original owner who could no longer drive due to blindness. He kept the car in the garage and it was driven only a few days a week by his caretakers. He took extreme care of this car. Everything is original and I intentionally kept it that way. All original interior and exterior paint and upholstery. No defects that I have seen and I have driven it regularly. I have very recently had the car professionally compounded and waxed as well as the interior carpets and upholstery cleaned. Maintenance, etc.: 82,000 miles - Complete tune up including wires, plugs and carburetor adjustment, including a brake job with bearing re-pack. New Firestone Tires (FR 380 205 75 14) May 29, 2009. At 70,000 miles, the original owner failed to see warning lights indicating that the water pump had gone out. As a result, he had to replace the engine (same GMC V8 305 5.0 liter) which included all new belts and hoses, water pump, thermostat, EGR valve and carburetor gasket (receipt available). Condition: She's got some minor door dings, a dent on the tailgate (pictured). The worst body damage is scratches on the right rear back panel near the rear bumper (pictured). The window washer pump does not work and the speedometer cable squeaks occasionally. The original AM/FM radio works great but the cassette player does not. One side of the GMC hood ornament came off in a car wash. I was never able to track down a replacement. The Vehicle Check History provided by eBay shows a lien/loan problem which is incorrect. This car has a clear title (I own it). It also has cold air conditioning and has been a non-smoking vehicle since it was purchased in 1986.
