Vehicle Detail
This is a 1977 Chey Pickup with a 400 block engine. 4wd. It starts right up and drives strong. I volunteer for a non profit charity called Step 13, (www.step13.org). We have a car donation program. This Pick Up was donated to us. As a result I don't have a whole lot of history with it. What I do know is: the folks who donated it to us have owned it for a decade. While odometer says 87,000 I have no idea if it's 87K or 187K. But... the title will say 'O'. Colorado DMV does that as a matter of routine on cars more than 10 years old. Body is decent although there's some rust on the front edge of hood and in the wheel wells. (see pics) Tires and wheels very good. Windshield is cracked. Alll lights and blinkers work but air conditioning is not. Radio is there but speakers have been taken out. What this truck has going for it i'm told is the engine. it's a 400. a great puller. If you plan on bidding and you live out of state I always suggest to people that they transport cars just because we don't have any history with them. I hate to see people fly in, get in and just drive off. While thisFord seems solid it just makes me nervous to see you get on the highway and drive off into the sunset without knowing the truck a little better. But obviously this is your choice. Please don't ask me if I think it'll make it to Topeka or Tacoma. I have no idea. All I can say is it's running right now and it seems like a decent solid classic. We have a dealer's license so all the dealer paperwork has to be completed before pick up and if you live in Colorado we have to collect the applicable taxes. But we will give you a temp tag and registration. Also if it sells below $600 we will add $150 fee for all the dealer paperwork. That's pretty much the extent of my knowledge! If you have some other question you think i can answer best to reach me via email: wheelswest@earthlink.net While this is a "No Reserve" auction I'll be happy to entertain offers. We don't have a 'Buy it Now' price but will consider a strong offer. If you buy it we need a deposit withing 24 hours and full payment within 3 days. In addition to wanting it paid for in full within 3 days we'd also like it picked up within 3 days. We're in downtown Denver and space is at a premium. Obviously, if you're far away we can try to work with you but we don't want to have to store it for more than a week. We need it moved ASAP. So please don't bid if you can't get it soon. And please don't bid if you're not good at following thru. Relisting cars is a waste of time. I think that about covers it. Thanks, Wendy On Jul-23-10 at 04:34:45 PDT, seller added the following information: A person emailed me and corrected the listing. Hopefully this is right: "The engine in this truck is a '454', not a 400. And it's a 'step-side' or 'fleet-side' "
