Vehicle Detail

I am re-listing this vehicle after the winning bidder did not finish the transaction. Please note that I am located in Fort Wayne, Indiana...NOT Arizona as the previous buyer said he thought! I have debated selling this car but decided with the end of my child support to reward myself with a new car...another civic of course! This is a one owner car and is very clean for age and mileage. It has never been smoked in and is very sporty and would be a great starter car or second car. The car drives and handles great and has awesome pickup! The miles are high at 358,000 but I just gave it a tuneup and on the highway got over 37 MPG...a combination of city and highway gave me just under 35 MPG! With high gas prices this car is a great buy! I have always maintained my vehicles with oil changes every 2500 to 3000 miles. It has been given tuneups and maintained regularly. (I sold my last vehicle with 351,000 miles on it when I purchased this civic.) The car had a new starter installed three months ago and a driver door opener kit installed a month ago. Tires have about 20,000 miles on them, brakes 30,000, transmission serviced about 30,000 miles ago. Exhaust is about one year old. All new belts were installed a month ago. A new radio has been installed which has CD and an MP3 hookup on the faceplate. The rear spoiler was added by Honda at their shop when the vehicle was purchased. All electronics and power items (door locks, windows, mirrors, rear window defroster, tachometer, intermittant wipers, moonroof, lights inside and out) work as they did on day one. Now for the not so stellar aspects. The civic does not use oil but is leaking a little oil. I have read that this is a very common problem for Honda's over 100,000 miles as the seals dry up. I have been adding about a quart of oil every few thousand miles. The A/C needs charged. I only used it a few months of the year so have not bothered charging it the last few summers but when it was last charged it worked fine. Timing chain should be replaced and can be done at the same time as the seals at minimal cost but you should check with a mechanic to see what costs are involved for you. The timing chain should be replaced even if you choose to just keep adding oil as opposed to fixing the seals. There are two dents on the back. A three and one half inch crack on the plastic bumper rear driver side and a dent on the rear passenger side. Both of these are courtesy of parking lot bump and runs. Two years ago I hit two deer and had the front end replaced including a new radiator. The car at that time was rated in excellent shape with a book value of $5400 by State Farm Insurance. A $250.00 payment is due within 24 hours of the auction completion. This can be paid through Paypal. If you have questions you can feel free to email me. If you are local you are welcome to set a time to come see and drive it. You will be responsible for pickup of the vehicle. This is a great car and I know you won't regret buying it! Happy bidding!
